五、报告人简介:
Dr. Minghe Sun is a professor at the University of Texas at San Antonio. He received his Ph.D. in Management Science and Information Technology from the University of Georgia in 1992, his MBA from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1987 and his BS degree in metallurgy from Northeastern University in China in 1982.
His research interests are in the areas of (1) multiple criteria decision making, especially multiple objective programming; (2) data structures; (3) network optimization; (4) combinatorial optimization, especially heuristic solution procedures; (5) mathematical programming approaches for regression, discrimination and classification analysis, and more recently (6) big data analytics. His work has appeared in almost all major journals in Management Science/Operations Research/Decision Sciences including Management Science, Operations Research, INFORMS Journal on Computing, Transportation Science, Decision Sciences, European Journal of Operational Research, Annals of Operations Research, Computers & Operations Research, Journal of Heuristics, Networks, Decision Support Systems, among others. He received the prestigious Decision Sciences Institute Elwood S. Buffa Doctoral Dissertation Competition Award in 1993 and the Decision Sciences Institute Best Theoretical/Empirical Research Paper Award twice, once in 2003 and once in 2006. He also received the University of Texas System Chancellor’s Council Outstanding Teaching Award in 1999.
六、报告摘要:
Concepts and definitions in multi-objective programming are introduced. Difficulties in solving multi-objective programming problems are outlined. Some commonly used solution approaches, such as the weighted sum method, goal programming, the ε-constraint method and interactive methods, are presented. Pitfalls in solving multi-objective programming problems are also mentioned.
